The Gitman Sueded Twill Tattersall check takes its name from Tattersall’s, a prominent London horse market in the 18th century and a regular haunt for horsemen and gamblers who became familiar with the pattern used in horse blankets. Over time, this classic check found its way into apparel, initially as a design for riding waistcoats and later as shirt fabric. Cut from finely woven twill with a button down collar, it’s equally suited to dress or casual occasions.
