The Old Skool, the Vans classic skate shoe and first to bare the iconic sidestripe, is a low top lace-up featuring sturdy canvas and suede uppers, re-enforced toecaps to withstand repeated wear, padded collars for support and flexibility, and signature rubber waffle outsoles.
Vans Old Skool Beech/True White
These shoes brought the dawn of the classic Vans stripe that has developed into a status symbol of tradition and skate stature. Aside from all that personality, they’ve lasted as long as they have because of their ability to perform on a skateboard, and to last, and last, and last. Though they now share the ranks with many new Vans kicks with their own innovations, these Old Skools aren’t going anywhere.
- Original Waffle Outsole
- Molded EVA Footbed
- Padded Tongue and Lining
Vulcanized – “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don’t provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
Original Waffle Outsole – Made with soles twice as thick so they would wear longer, this original formula combines durability with board-feel to keep all the Vans’ fans happy.
Molded EVA Footbed – Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA) insoles are a firmer material than you would find on standard orthotic insoles to offer better shock absorption while reducing the weight of the overall shoe.
